点评：Kullu Vaishno Devi temple is commonly referred as Mahadevi Tirth, which is situated on the banks of Beas river. The temple is located on the Kullu-Manali highway just about 2km away from Kullu on the north side. This temple was built in 1966 by a saint Swami Sewak Das Ji Maharaj. The foundation of Mahadevi Tirth was laid in 1962. The temple enshrines an idol of Goddess Parvati who is also known as Mahadevi in small cave, along with an idol of Goddess Durga. The temple is also has a lord Shiva temple in the complex along with many sub temples inside the complex which is constructed as multi floor complex. This temple has total 5 floors and one has to climb the stairs to see Various Gods and Goddess shrines. This temple does not have lift facility.
After Swami Sewak Das ji's death, Mahadevi Tirth is managed by Sharda Sewa Sungh. Presently also this temple is managed by Shri Sharda Maa Seva trust.
Tips for your Visit:
1. Mobiles are not allowed inside and you cannot click pics inside this temple. You can have photo click at main entrance after coming from temple or before handover your mobile in counter.
2. Free dispensary facility is there inside temple complex along with trained doctors. They offer service to the needy and poor people.
3. There is langur inside this temple where free food is served to all who comes to the temple.
4. Dharmshala is also available inside this temple complex. Visitors can stay here during their trip to this temple.
5. Acupunctury center is also there inside this temple where service is offered at free of cost.
