点评:The signage says "Ramen Yokocho", however the official name uses Ganso. What makes it confusing, there is another Ramen Yokocho called "New Ramen Yokocho" the next block over. This is the original. This is the better option. It makes it confusing.
As many have already mentioned, this is an alley with different ramen shops. I wish that they have a mini or smaller bowls, then you can try different flavors and different soup bases on the same day.
While every region has their unique peculiarities, the ramen from Hokkaido loves to put a pad of butter on top and they love corn. Generally, a lighter broth but that gets negated with the butter.
I prefer Sapporo ramen because of the lighter soup, but you do get hungry quicker. The southern Japanese ramen is very heavy and fills you up longer.
This is a Sapporo must do. Come hungry. Not all shops accepts credit cards, many are cash only. The shops are used to foreign visitors, non-Japanese are welcomed.
