点评:We arrived the welcome center at 3 pm May 31 to get advice on the trail condition. The young male ranger told us that there are still a lot of snow on the trail. He advised us to bring all the equipment such as snow shoes, crampon, snow boots etc. We flew to Robson Pass rather than hike up because of we are over 70 years old and not in top shape.
Soon as we landed from the helicopter, we were completely surprised that there was hardly any snow on the trail. We knew that we had been fooled by the ranger.
As a result, when we hiked down the trail which 22 km long and quite a few up and down slope. We really suffered a lot because of the extra unneeded equipment (more than 7 lbs extra).
We were not impressed by the unprofessional behavior of that male ranger.
This is one hard lesson I learned from this hiking trip.
