点评:The Khatu Shyamji Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, known as Khatu Shyamji in India. Khatu Shyam Ji is the incarnation of Ghatotkacha’s son, Barbarika, according to Hindu mythology
The temple is believed to have been established centuries ago, According to legend, the temple’s foundation is linked to the divine saga of Lord Krishna’s incarnation as Khatu Shyamji and his devoted friend, Barbarika. Over time, the temple evolved into a sacred pilgrimage site, drawing devotees to pay homage to the revered deity.
Parking could be an issue on certain days. My mother was not able to walk, so we enquired about a wheelchair — thankfully, they do provide one for disabled or needy persons, and there’s a separate entry for that too. One person can accompany them, which was truly a time/life saver for us.
It was Chandragrahan day, so the temple opened around 4 PM, but the queue kept moving smoothly — we were done in about 30 minutes.
The temple still looks like it’s under construction though. I do wonder why there isn’t a permanent structure yet!
