点评：Pykara Falls is not a typical large waterfall as many tourists may expect. It is more like a flowing water channel where water cascades over rocks at different points. The falls are located around 25 km from the main town of Ooty on the road toward Mysore.
Parking facilities are available along the main road. From there, visitors need to walk through a row of food stalls to reach the ticket counter. The site is open from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and the entry fee is around ₹30 per person.
From the ticket counter, visitors can either walk about 500 metres along a smooth road or take a battery-operated vehicle, which charges approximately ₹20 one way. Since there is usually only one such vehicle operating, waiting time can be expected during busy hours. Walking is often the quicker option.
After reaching the viewing area, visitors need to descend around 50–70 steps to get close to the falls. Wooden barricades have been installed near the waterbody, so entering the water is not permitted. The place is decent for a short stop and photography, but those expecting a grand waterfall experience may find it less impressive.
