点评：Moosi Maharani Ki Chhatri is a beautiful and relatively underrated heritage attraction in Alwar. Located just behind the Alwar City Palace, it is easy to combine the visit with the City Palace and makes for a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in history, architecture, or photography.
The entry ticket is very reasonable at around ₹22 per person, making it an inexpensive experience considering the grandeur of the monument.
The structure beautifully showcases a blend of Rajputana and Mughal architectural influences. The main structure is predominantly built using red sandstone, while the central chhatri and important architectural elements are beautifully crafted in white marble. The contrast between the redstone and white marble gives the monument a distinctive and elegant appearance.
The scale, detailing, symmetry, and overall grandeur of the structure are impressive, especially when viewed from different angles. The monument also provides plenty of excellent photo opportunities, making it an absolute delight for photography enthusiasts. The combination of the ornate architecture, marble work, and surrounding heritage setting creates some fantastic backdrops for pictures.
Given its location, modest entry fee, architectural beauty, and historical character, it is definitely worth spending some time exploring rather than simply viewing it from outside.
Getting There:
There are two main routes to reach the City Palace. One is via Kachahri and City Palace Road, which is also the route towards Alwar Fort. The other is through Bajaja Bazaar.
If you're travelling by your own car, I would recommend the Bajaja Bazaar route. The road is comparatively easier to navigate, although it does become narrow around the Shiv Temple.
The Kachahri Road route is particularly challenging during the final 150–200 metres. The road becomes extremely narrow, and in places, two cars can barely pass each other. It requires careful driving and good manoeuvring skills, especially if you're driving an unfamiliar vehicle.
