The site is well maintained, and there is plenty to explore, so it's worth spending at least a full day or two. Visiting early in the morning or during sunset offers beautiful views and more comfortable weather. Walking through the ruins gives a real appreciation of the rich history and architecture of the Vijayanagara Empire.
