On 19 June 2026, while my car was parked in the hotel car park between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm, it appears to have been damaged by another vehicle. When I reported the incident, I was told by a manager that the camera covering the area was “fake” and not operational.
I found this difficult to understand because there was what appeared to be a CCTV camera mounted on a four-foot metal pole that had clearly been installed to support a camera overlooking the area. I have also previously received parking charge notices that appeared to be based on camera evidence at this site, and I have noticed other reviewers raising similar concerns about parking enforcement. For those reasons, I have formally requested that any relevant CCTV footage be preserved while the matter is investigated.
As a long-standing and loyal customer, I am extremely disappointed by how this incident has been handled. What has upset me most is not only the damage to my vehicle, but the lack of reassurance and support I received after reporting it.
After more than three years as a loyal member and significant spending at the hotel, I expected a much higher standard of customer service. I hope the hotel investigates this matter thoroughly and provides a clear response.
