The Most Unprofessional Sauna Ritual I've Experienced

点评：I visited this spa with two friends after having an excellent experience at Chocholowskie Termy the day before. We wanted to try another highly rated thermal spa and since this was ranked as one of the top options we decided to give it a chance. I am a huge sauna enthusiast and have visited many spas across different countries. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst sauna experience of my life.
The sauna ritual started with a long introduction, but without any proper warm-up. The sauna was already extremely dry and instead of creating a comfortable atmosphere, the sauna master poured an entire bucket of water onto the heater without first ventilating the room. Immediately afterward, in an already very small sauna, he used a huge fan to blast extremely hot air directly into people's faces with excessive force.
What disappointed me most was that the ritual seemed to have no real structure or purpose beyond making people feel like they were sitting inside an oven. I fully understand that a sauna ritual is supposed to be challenging and intense that is part of the experience but this felt completely excessive. Rather than feeling like a professionally guided ritual, it came across as either a complete lack of judgment or an attitude that showed little concern for the comfort and safety of the participants.
At one point, after roughly half of the participants had already left because of the unbearable heat, the sauna master threw another full bucket of water onto the heater, closed the sauna door, and walked out himself, leaving everyone else inside. I have never experienced anything like that before.
The ritual was supposed to last 15 minutes. One of my friends had to leave after just 3 minutes, another after 4.5 minutes, and I managed about 6 minutes before I finally said, "Stop!" At that point, everyone who was still inside left the sauna with me.
Later, the sauna master proudly told us that the temperature had exceeded 120°C and seemed convinced he had done an excellent job. In my opinion, a sauna ritual should be enjoyable, relaxing, well-structured, and professionally conducted not an endurance test where participants are driven out by overwhelming heat.
To make matters worse, the rest of the spa was disappointing as well. Many of the saunas were not operating, making the overall experience feel incomplete and not worth the visit.
