点评:First let me say my wife and I have been vacationing on Captiva island for 40 years. This year went reserved our house Casa Captiva from a company we have never used, Dream Vacation's. We have stayed in this home 3 times prior through different companies. Dream vacations was more like a nightmare vacation, on day one when checking in we found the front door broken, dream sent a repair person within an hour. On our second day we were able to smell sewage, at the time we thought maybe a home on the street was being serviced. On the third day we could still smell it but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. On the fifth day one of our grandsons said there was water coming out of the patio! I called Dream Vacations and they called back stating a repair technician would be out today or early tomorrow, imagine there is raw sewage running into the pool area, we spent almost $12,000 dollars and cannot use the back yard or pool. We received a call later that day stating the repair person would be arriving on Thursday morning, all the time sewage is running down the side brick patio and into the pool area. The technician arrived early Thursday-morning, 7:00, no one from Dream Vacations. I had to walk him through the issue show him what was happening and run a series of tests, still I'm on vacation. The technician said a service crew would be need to come out for the repair, he pumped the system filling the house with the smell of that, dug 2 holes I imagine to allow the water to flow next door and not down to the patio into pool area. I made calls and emails asking for some type of restitution for our issue and never heard back. Tomorrow we fly home the holes dug by the technician are still there, the smell of sewage still present. The people of Captiva, homeowners, business owners, restaurant owners are trying their best to get on with there lives and get back to the way things were prior to the hurricane and to have a company treat people who are coming here knowing how things were and how they currently are to contribute to the economy deserve better. I'm not looking for a full refund but just asking that the owners do the right thing. We spent almost $12,000 for Casa Captiva for this week, we ate at all the local restaurants open and were treated by Dream Vacations like dirt. Imagine if that were your $12,000.00 and you had to endure what we did for our family vacation! I'm attaching a video so you can see what was happening.. We were never treated this way over the past 40 years of renting by American Realty or Royal Shell.
