Lovely building, terrible sound quality high bar/ice cream costs.
New Theatre的点评
点评：Quite excited by the prospect of seeing stage play of Midsomer Murders. We were in row c in the stalls and the sound was dreadful combined with a very lack lustre play. The first half was slow and difficulty to follow, luckily the second half was better. Would definitely think about going here again to see anything considering the sound quality.
The theatre very old but seemed to well maintained. Looking around the inside decor is impressive. However, the cost of everything you can purchase from the bar or ice cream stall was ridiculous. We had luckily had lunch out before the matinee so didn’t buy drinks. People around us though were very unhappy about bar prices. During the intermission, I joined a very long queue to buy an ice cream. There were scooped ice creams or plain tubs of ice cream from the freezer. It took the manager at least 20 minutes to decide she needed more staff to get through the number of customers. She herself then started to serve customers with the freezer tubs - at £5.50 EACH. If I hadn’t waited so long I would have rejected the cost.
