点评：I strongly encourage travelers to carefully research the realities of this facility before visiting.
During my research into the Elephant Breeding Centre in Sauraha, I found numerous recent visitor accounts, photos, and videos showing elephants — including mothers and calves — being kept chained for prolonged periods with severely restricted movement. Multiple visitors have also described repetitive swaying and rocking behaviors commonly associated with psychological distress in captive elephants.
There are also serious concerns regarding breeding and training practices. Reports and footage appear to show female elephants being physically restrained during breeding attempts involving wild bulls, as well as restraint-based training methods involving confinement, deprivation, and the use of physical correction tools.
Elephants are highly intelligent and social animals with complex emotional and physical needs. Long-term chaining and restrictive management practices are increasingly inconsistent with modern animal welfare standards.
Please research carefully and make informed, compassionate choices before supporting elephant tourism facilities.
