Excellent Atacama star gazing experience
Atacama Desert Stargazing的点评
点评：Jorge and Jovy delivered an exceptional star gazing experience. Atacama experienced an unusual period of rainfall during our stay, so we had to begin the evening by assessing the sky around 7pm to see if we wanted to continue. Despite passing clouds and a few showers, the sky eventually opened up completely and we were able to freely take breathtaking views of the Milky Way. Jorge did an excellent job of keeping things moving while we waited out the clouds by providing views of what we could see (including a great shot of Venus’s half phase), as well as several star clusters and binary star systems. During this time he also gave an engaging lecture on the history of astronomy and telescope development.
Jovy, in the meantime, stealthily set up what is, without a doubt, the best spread that can be found in the Atacama desert complete with a full bar! We were able to eat and drink our fill before continuing our experience which culminated in a spectacular view of Saturn.
Jorge was pretty actual, provided direct and easy communication
, and has an enthusiasm for astronomy that makes the experience all the more pleasurable. We wouldn’t think twice about booking this experience again.
