Good venue, decent sound, bargain pizzas!!
Band on the Wall的点评
点评：It’s been years since i last visited Band On The Wall and it’s changed from what I remember. There are two main rooms. One is a well stocked bar with drinks that aren’t cheap but are certainly not more expensive than most of the area. Service is prompt and the Guinness was fine.
The other room is the main venue is cleaner than I remember it with another large bar at the back a smallish upstairs balcony area with a decent sized stage at the front of the main hall with very good sound quality. We saw a few bands/acts in there as part of The Fall Festival celebrations which was a fantastic event celebrating Prestwich’s much missed Mark E Smith. Looks like there’s some decent and varied music on this year which is worth checking out.
What we also noticed on the second day is the absolute bargain pizzas. They are £5 a pop with the option of adding veggies or meat for an extra £1/£2. I went for Jalapeños and onions. They are cooked fresh, about 12” and of the thin crust variety with none of that frozen base nonsense. In fact, they are very tasty and at the £7 I paid, an absolute bargain. Unsurprisingly, they were flying out when folks saw what you were getting. It may be the first and last time I say this but, I’d wait till you get in the venue to fire in a pizza, they are lovely!
