Magical Cretan Vineyard Visit!

点评：A friend and I wanted to visit a winery whilst in Crete and popped here as we were passing.
We drove through the tiny streets of the local village and followed the sat nav to the Vineyard. We drove up the dusty track with gorgeous olive trees on either side.
On pulling into the Vineyard, stood in front with a welcoming smile, was the fourth generation wine maker and owner: Ioannis Stilianou. He was lovely kind man and gently explained our options of what we could do and sample. We opted for the free tour followed by a tasting. There was no hard sell and it was a joy to be shown into the winery to look at the presses and venture down into the cellar to view the oak barrels and store. It wasn’t a long tour or overly informative but gave us a flavour of the process and the history of the place.but we were there ultimately to try the wine!…
We were then lead out to the terrace in an elevated position, with an incredible view of the vineyards and neighbouring farms which stretched on for miles into the mountains beyond.
We opted for the 6 wines tasting, accompanied by cheese, bread and tomatoes. The pace was leisurely and we were left alone to discuss and relax in between tastings. Ioannis Popped back sporadically to explain the next wine and which cheese it best paired with.
The bill was very reasonable and when I went inside to pay, again there was no hard sell but there were wines and olive oil to purchase if you wished… which we did!
Overall a charming authentic feeling visit in a magical setting with delicious food and wine by a true Cretan Winemaker with a passion for his craft.

随后，我们被领到了一处地势较高的露台上。从这里可以欣赏到令人惊叹的葡萄园及周边农场的景致，它们一直绵延至远处的群山之中。
我们选择了6款葡萄酒的品鉴套餐，还配有奶酪、面包和番茄。品鉴过程十分悠闲，每次品酒间隙我们都可以自由交谈或放松休息。Ioannis偶尔会回来，为我们介绍下一款葡萄酒以及最适合与它搭配的奶酪。
费用相当合理。当我进屋付款时……同样，这里并没有强行推销，不过如果你愿意的话也可以购买葡萄酒和橄榄油……而我们确实买了！
总的来说，这是一次体验绝佳的参观之旅：环境如梦似幻，食物与葡萄酒都美味可口，而那位克里特岛的酿酒师更是对自己的事业满怀热情，让人感受到纯正而迷人的当地风情。
