Clifftop Lodge - a pretty place - poor road access - limited game in area

点评：We had booked in at Clifftop Lodge. The lodge has 8 luxury units, very well appointed with good views and a plunge pool.
A peaceful and tranquil setting.
The staff are all capable, friendly and obliging.
The food is pretty good with excellent attention to dietary requirements.
The reservation was capably arranged by Biggestleaf Travel.
Game is however sparse and several hours were spent by our ranger "chasing' after the big 5. Very little attention to flora and fauna.
One big downside: It is 8km from the entrance gate of this part of the park to the pickup point . This road is atrocious and it took us 40 minutes to cover the 8 km to the Clifftop Lodge Pick up point! Be warned. If you are determined to visit Welgevonden, perhaps try a lodge in a different area which is more accessible.
We found it impossible to speak with senior management - it seems they do not want to be known!
