Absolutely stunning - A Must Visit in Zakopane
Kasprowy Wierch Cable Car的点评
点评：Visiting Kasprowy Wierch was one of the highlights of our trip to Poland. The cable car takes you nearly 2,000 meters up into the High Tatras, and the panoramic views from the top are simply breathtaking - you can see across Poland and into Slovakia on a clear day.
Why you should go:
The experience rivals any Swiss Alpine cable car but at a fraction of the price. For the quality of views and the infrastructure, this is exceptional value for money. The 15-minute cable car ride itself is scenic as you ascend through different vegetation zones into the high mountains.
The restaurant at the top surprised us - good food at reasonable prices (not the tourist trap pricing you might expect).
Important tips:
1. **Check the website (pkl.pl) before you go** - the cable car closes for maintenance between seasons, usually in November and April/May. Also check weather conditions as it can be very different at the top.
2. **Buy tickets in advance online** - this saves queuing time and guarantees your spot, especially on weekends and good weather days.
3. **Dress warmly** - it's significantly colder and often windy at the top, even when it's pleasant in Zakopane. Bring layers, a hat, and gloves even if the valley is mild.
4. **Go early** - we arrived around 9:30am and had relatively quiet time at the summit. It gets busier later in the day. But to be honest, it’s perhaps just one third of people as in any Swiss mountain even at peak hours.
5. We took public bus from Zakopane city centre and it was just 20 Polish dollars. (Just 5 polish dollar from bus). This avoids many parking problems!
If you're in Zakopane, don't miss this. It's an unforgettable experience and incredible value compared to similar attractions in Western Europe.
