点评:We stopped by here on a Tuesday around 11:30 AM after the morning beach crowd got too intense. What completely made the trip for me was the open outdoor trail winding out back into the San Miguelito jungle ruins. You step straight from the stone corridors right onto a dirt path surrounded by thick wild palms, and within five minutes we spotted three massive iguanas just sunning themselves on the flat temple steps. One of them didn't move an inch while we walked past, just stared lazily at us while the cicadas were buzzing in the trees. It felt so quiet and preserved back there, like stumbling on an actual jungle excavation without leaving the hotel zone. The outdoor setting is a very unique environment to wander through, and the jade carvings inside were absolutly stunning to look at before heading back out to our bus.
