Santa Fe Botanical Garden, a Hidden Gem
Santa Fe Botanical Garden的点评
点评:I stumbled upon this hidden treasure while visiting several of the museums on what they call Museum Hill. I have been to Santa Fe many times but had never heard about it, and have since noticed the lack of any signage that might direct you to it. It is too bad because it is well worth a visit. We walked the whole loop, which is flat and about a mile. It is dotted here and there with sculptures from local artists. There are several different types of garden areas, each with its own theme. We stopped and read many of the information placards, and enjoyed walking on a cheerful red trestle bridge that goes over the Santa Fe trail. The bridge was rescued from Las Vegas, New Mexico. It was a peaceful, calm place and my daughter sat and sketched for a while. It is well kept up, and the people and volunteers who work there could not have been nicer. I learned from the greeter that the garden is also very involved with education and research.
