Walk is worth it, campsite ok
Waterberg National Park的点评
点评:This place was a nice change in scenery. It was greener than expected. The walk to the top surprised us and was worth every step. It is very rocky and not a walk in the park. The signs in the beginning were not too good but we got a map at the parks office and that made it easier. The trail was not cleared everywhere. Gerneral hiking rules seem to not exist here (it might have just been inexperienced people). The view from the top was spectacular and unexpected. All the way one can hear baboons. Don't worry but be aware of them. On our way up we saw a huge baboon trying to get into one of the charlets. So if you plan to stay there, close your doors and windows.
If you want to camp here, it is a NWR camp. There are a few quiet and private spots around but not too many. And those are close to the bushes aka the baboons. However, security is provided. The bathrooms are alright, but dirty due to the sandy campground.
