点评：My family and I visited Scott Cinema in Barnstaple to watch Send Help, and although the film didn’t go ahead due to an unexpected projector issue, the experience we had with the staff was nothing short of exceptional.
We are regular visitors to this cinema and have always found the staff welcoming and helpful. The seats are comfortable, the rest rooms are clean and accessible, and we’ve consistently had very good experiences here — which is why last night’s response, though impressive, came as no surprise.
When the technical issue occurred, staff members came in within minutes to apologise personally, explain the situation clearly, and keep us fully informed. When it became clear the problem couldn’t be resolved, we were immediately offered alternatives — seats in other films, rebooking, or a full refund (along with an automatic refund of all our refreshments). Everything was handled with sincerity, professionalism, and genuine care.
Emma went above and beyond, even emailing confirmation for our Cinema Society refund before we’d arrived home. Every member of staff we encountered was polite, proactive, and incredibly apologetic, turning what could have been a frustrating evening into a surprisingly positive one.
Technical issues happen, but how a business responds speaks volumes. In this case, the team at Scott Cinema absolutely shone. We felt valued, looked after, and in months to come, we won’t remember the film we didn’t get to see - but we will remember how the staff made us feel and how they approached the problem. Their actions left a lasting positive impression, and they are a true credit to Scott Cinemas.
