点评：Iceland is about as far from home as I can go so I wanted to make the most of a once in a lifetime opportunity to see and learn a little about that country.
Johann from Mountain Excursion was a truly incredible guide. He planned a 9 day itinerary based on my preference to be away from crowds, visit rugged coastlines, waterfalls, lava fields, volcanoes and glaciers and see as much wildlife as I could. The scenery was absolutely stunning and Johann of course knew the best angles and times of day to see this amazing country at its most spectacular.
I had seen photos and movies and talked to people who had visited Iceland and I expected to be impressed by the scenery and the wildlife (those adorable puffins!) and I was blown away by the beauty and the power of the landscape.
I had not expected to be also enthralled by the history. culture and tales from this great island. Johann is a wonderful story teller and his vibrant portrayal of his country and his people has left an indelible impression on me.
I felt truly privileged to have had someone like Johann introduce Iceland to me.
