点评：⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Wonderful Rajasthan Journey with Time India Travels
Having travelled quite extensively over the years, we have come to appreciate that a good travel company is not simply one that arranges hotels, cars and sightseeing. It is one that listens, understands what you are looking for, and has the experience to know what will make a journey genuinely enjoyable.
That was very much our experience with Time India Travels.
A special word of appreciation goes to Vijay Yadav, the owner, who took considerable time to understand what we wanted from our Rajasthan journey. There were plenty of discussions and changes along the way, but Vijay was always patient, accessible and generous with his advice. He didn't simply agree with every suggestion we made; when he felt there was a better option, he explained why. That sort of honest and personal advice is invaluable when planning a complicated journey.
The result was a wonderful itinerary taking us through some of Rajasthan's most fascinating places, including Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kumbhalgarh and Pushkar. We were particularly keen to experience the history, architecture and character of Rajasthan without turning the holiday into an endurance test of long drives and hurried sightseeing. Time India Travels understood that perfectly.
The hotels and arrangements were very good, but what really made the difference was the personal service.
A very special mention must go to Mr Lal, our driver. He was far more than someone who simply drove us from one destination to another. He was courteous, patient, knowledgeable and, above all, genuinely helpful. He was always ready to assist us with whatever we needed and seemed to take a personal interest in making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. By the end of the trip, he felt much more like a companion on our Rajasthan adventure than a driver.
Rajasthan itself is difficult to describe without resorting to superlatives. The forts, palaces, colours, landscapes and sheer extravagance of it all are quite extraordinary. Time India Travels gave us the opportunity to experience that splendour at a comfortable pace, without losing sight of the fact that we were on holiday.
And, after some thought, I have identified one minor shortcoming with Time India Travels.
Given the grandeur, opulence and splendour of Rajasthan, I really do think they should have provided us with a horse-drawn golden carriage for at least one of our journeys! 😂
Perhaps that is something Vijay can arrange for our next visit.
