点评:First thing that gets you, when you drive through the entrance to park you are driving through a field of planes! Parking is very close to the outside exhibits and hangars. We went on a day when a local car club was visiting which was a real bonus as we are petrolheads as well as avgeeks. There's a great balance between outside aircraft, the main hangar with smaller exhibits and memorobilia and the "mini museums" dedicated to specific topics, e.g Costal Command, Bomber Command, plus an area dedicated to Little Nellie creator (and so much more) Wing Commander Ken Wallis. There's just so much here to look at. One surprising element was that there were a number of display cases dedicated to german airforce and plane parts and memorabilia. Of places we've visited I can only think of Tangmere that has similar. This was interesting and thought provoking. Whilst in the main hangar we were also entertained by a group of ladies singing WWII era songs, dressed as land girls. And very good they were too. We converted our day ticket to an annual ticket (at no extra cost!) and will definitely be back.
