点评:The Oregaard Museum just outside of Copenhagen resides in an ancient family home transformed into a museum in the eartly 20th century.
There is a permanent collection, but this is not displayed - permanently!!!
Throughout the year exhibitions change with a focus on Danish art - during our August visit, it was Art Deco.
The premises are quite small - on the ground floor there are 3 rooms and 4 on the top floor. The exhibition showed some furniture and paintings/prints, as well as cutlery, jewelry, tableware, ceramics and sculpture.
There are some explanatory boards - but in Danish only; and overall it is a visit which is done in 30 minutes with the best of our intentions.
At the price of 90 DKK (12 EUR) for an entrance ticket, this is expensive. Unless the exhibition on display is of a very special interest to you, it is really not worth the travel out of Copenhagen unfortunately.
