Not enough magic but the kids still enjoyed.

点评：We went to the children's show at the magic circle for my son's 6th Birthday. To start with it was really good, we got a little preview in the waiting area from one magician which was great. The main show itself was a little disappointing. I felt it was more of a kids entertainment show than a magic show, as there weren't many tricks - we have been to a magic show at our local library where more actual tricks were performed.
Throughout the performance a number of children were asked to participate. I understand that not all children can take part, but both my husband and I felt that the performer didn't even look our way once. Also had you been sat in the balcony area there wasn't a chance you would get picked and it wasn't clear of this before being guided to the seats.
I originally booked a different show but it was cancelled and we were able to book on to this one which was great. It did however mean that this show was completely full, and not having allocated seats meant that some families couldn't sit together - not the best idea. When I changed my booking I informed that this was for my son's birthday, and yet when we were at the show another two children were called up for their birthday but my son was not.
My children still enjoyed the show, albeit a little disappointed not to be picked, but we explained that not everyone can be picked. We were just left feeling that more magic could have been done rather than the singing, clapping and general entertaining.
Lastly the facilities weren't the best. There seemed to be one set of toilets which consisted of 2 toilets in the ladies (not sure of the mens). One of the locks on the doors were broken. The toilets were run down, and generally dirty.
