点评:Having climbed Dun I and explored the north of the island we decided to head out for St Columba's Bay in the south. Unfortunately we ran out of time, as we need to get back for the ferry.
We did enjoy the walk through the golf course and the Beach at the back of the Ocean, but never got to the bay. Still there's always a next time.
Had we not lost the morning on Iona due to the ferry from Fionnphort not running until almost mid day. Doing most of the islands walks in a day is possible. back in 1979 we did it as Geology students, but a lot fitter then.
The bay is quite stunning from the top as you come down and as not many people get there, especially back then it is so tranquil and serene. A great place for reflection and being one with the natural environment. If you are lucky there is an abundant of birdlife and the occasional Grey Seal.
