点评:So we tried to do The Postcard Museum (brilliant!) followed by the Fort. The former is only open in the afternoon from 2pm, the latter closes at lunchtime until it reopens at 2.30pm. At the start of the footpath there was a sign saying the walk takes 12 minutes. It was just after 4pm so we had more than enough time before it closed we thought! We power walked up that hill in the heat. It may be 12 minutes to the gate but it took another 10minutes with an increased gradient to get to the ticket office. We arrived panting and sweating at 4.23. It closes at 5pm and the website and signs outside say it is advised to get there 30mins before 5pm. We were not allowed entry- we were told it had closed 10minutes ago! Very frustrating to say the least and completely at odds with the information on display. So unless you have plenty of time (as in probably 40 minutes as it's a very steep uneven path (loose rocks etc) and you may want to stop to take a breath or a drink in hot weather (which we didn't allow ourselves) and you aim to be there by 4.15pm at the very latest I would give it a miss because it's really not worth the effort! And to be honest you have some lovely views a few minutes up the path. PS the electric shuttle did not put in an appearance and we think it may only assist in the journey before you get to the steep path!
