Visited on a cruise ship excursion - weather wasn't great but was a fun experience

点评：I visited Strandafjell Mountain on a cruise ship excursion with P&O cruises. The journey to the ski centre took around 90 minutes from Alesund using coach and ferry, and as part of our excursion we had a trip up the mountain in the cable cars and a coffee and Norwegian waffle in the café at the summit.
Sadly the weather wasn't great, but at the top of the mountain it cleared enough to get some views over the fjord below...would have loved to be here on a sunny day as you can see it would have been stunning. The walk to the café at the top might prove challenging for those with mobility issues although we were told the café at the bottom cable car station also provided hot drinks and waffles. The waffles were very good and served the traditional Norwegian way with jam and sour cream.
The cable car trip takes around 14 minutes each way so make sure you allow for that in your time to avoid getting back to the bottom too late if you are on a tour bus. There are toilets in the café at the top and at the bottom of the cable car near the parking area. Despite the poor weather I was very pleased I went.
