Amazing guesthouse, scenery, views and plants !

Alison (&Barry) are great and knowledgeable local hosts
Their guesthouse is welcoming with all the rustic charm you would expect
The hosting team, headed by Annie & Rosie, provided delicious meals within the house and on the trails
Local wines are provided with house meals also.

Andreas and Patrick are the mountain guides and are great company too.
With great knowledge on plant, bird and animal life as well as on geology
The trails and walk durations are tailored to your ability
And the guides were ready to walk in any weather !

We were a couple from Finland joined by a family of 4 from Capetown
And we quickly became a 'team', helping each other along
We visited Sept 2026
We would highly recommend The Green Mountain Trail to anyone looking for a 'luxury' slack packing adventure.
