Absolutely Worth the Walk

点评：We really enjoyed our visit to Ingleborough Cave. The caves themselves are absolutely fascinating and well worth seeing, but I do think anyone with limited mobility needs to be aware of the walk to get there.
The cave is around 1.3 miles from the entrance, and although the walk is through beautiful scenery, it is a long, steady incline. I have limited mobility and found it quite hard going. It also took me considerably longer to reach the cave than I had expected. If walking uphill is difficult for you, I would definitely allow plenty of extra time and bear the distance and incline in mind when planning your visit.
Once we reached the cave, however, it was fabulous. The show caves are very well lit and the walk inside is relatively easy. The ceiling is quite low in places, hence the hard hats provided — and you’ll certainly be glad of one occasionally!
The rock formations are incredible, with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. Seeing what nature has created over millions of years really makes you stop and appreciate just how extraordinary the natural world can be.
There’s also a lovely little café just outside the cave, which was particularly welcome after the walk up!
