点评：Dropped by the Wheaty after not visiting for quite some time because it felt well, kind of pretentious last time I visited. This venue used to be an affordable relatable alternative suburban pub. I am more than happy to pay a premium price for a drink if the venue gives you a premium experience, this place is not one of those. So many beers to choose, yet none of them taste like beer. I ordered a Japanese beer, I like Japanese beer. This tasted like watery cat's urine I couldn't drink it, so disappointing. This reminded me as to why I hadn't visited for so long. They used to have a good range of affordable spirits. Now you are looking at paying $35 upwards for a shot of scotch. This is this a pub charging resturant prices without the restaurant perks. My friend requested a spirit they didnt stock, he was told in a rather distainful mannner that they dont serve it becase they are a "Specialist" pub. It appears their specialty is selling a multitude of mediocre forgettable microbrewery beers that wont be around in 10 years and over priced spirits. Despite really liking this place in the past I won't be going back. There are far better real pubs that remember what real pubs are about. This place has just become pretentious and greedy. If I want to pay a premium for a drink I go to a premium venue, not some pub that was renovated over 20 years ago. Fortunately many Adelaide venues have changed for the better, unlike the Wheatsheaf.
