点评：I visited the museum to view the large water wheel, this is part of the tour of the woollen spinning mill which took in the early textile machinery, the mill pond, and lasted just over half an hour. I then had time for a sandwich in the cafe before joining the second tour which was of the cotton spinning mill, again just over half an hour. Both tour guides were well informed and helpful and some of the machinery was run to show the various spinning operations. Cake and coffee in the cafe before visiting the early textile museum which covered the introduction of the factory system and the industrial revolution with a series of displays using 3 minute video presentations. On the day I visited there was a workshop for children making bird houses. An enjoyable day out.
