Old Venetian Harbor的点评
点评：This was one of the most important Venician Harbours of all. It had a capacity of more than 40 galleys, which controlled the naval trade in the Eastern Mediterranean. The Venetian architectural legacy is still evident, particularly with the impressive old boat sheds. A walk around the old harbour wall to reach the ancient and famous light house is a must.
The western basin is mainly lined with many cafés and restaurants as well as a few shops and small hotels. In the summer there will also be a few excursion boats anchored in the basin.
The eastern basin is the marina and has many private pleasure boats as well as fishing boats anchored there. Along the harbour and between the Venetian arsenals there are many (mainly fish) tavernas which are well-frequented by the locals and visitors and offer traditional food options.
The harbour is a lovely, lively and historically important venue that is one of the islands treasures.
