Good show but not the best we have seen.

点评：My wife and I have seen mamma mia on a number of occasions both as a touring production and in the West End so we were looking forward to yet another great experience. Sadly this was probably the least enjoyable production we have seen so far. Sadly, the first half of the show lacked some of it's usual vigour with the music being far too loud for the singing voices in places. The second half was better but for us there was still a lack of energy to the production. We were particularly disppointed with the portrayal of Tanya. My wife said she cloud almost have nodded off during the first half. We realise that some things are beyond the control of the theatre however, there are a number of things about the theatre which do not make fir an enjoyable experience including the temperature in the first tier with a number of patrons having to don outdoor coats to avoid the chill. As a hearing aid user, I found it particularly difficult to adjust my aids to the accoustics of the building in part at least due to what was perhaps poor sound mixing. Finally not having the band in a visible pit or on stage took away some of the magic for us. Still good show but not the best we have seen.
