点评：A great little trek up Pen-y-ghent! 🥾⛰️ We did a lovely 6-mile route starting from Horton-in-Ribblesdale. At the junction we turned right and opted to take the steepest route up, which I’d definitely recommend. It felt like the safest option, as coming down that section looked like it could be quite tricky.
We parked at the bunkhouse for £4 for the day, although there were several other parking areas around the village, so parking shouldn’t be a problem.
There isn’t a huge amount in Horton, so come prepared with plenty of drinks and snacks. After the walk we enjoyed a well-earned drink at The Crown pub, where they were also serving meals.
Overall, a fantastic little trek with some great views. It took us around 2–3 hours at a steady pace and is definitely worth doing if you’re in the area. 👍🥾⛰️
