Scampston Walled Garden的点评
点评：We combined a visit to the specialist plant fair, the gardens, a tour of the hall and lunch at the cafe.
We bought a few plants from the fair that was just a nice size. We thought the gardens were absolutely stunning with beautiful planting, especially in the central section in front of the conservatory. Our only regret was not going up The Mound to get a better look over the top of the gardens, as two friends have since told me that we should have done that. Maybe more signage could be around there to encourage people to go up?
The hall tour was really interesting and led by Sarah, who was very knowledgeable.
Our final stop was at the cafe, where the queue, at 2pm, was only half way down the building. I realise it was an extra busy day for the cafe but maybe there could have been some extra mobile catering units around to provide for people who just wanted a sandwich and a cold drink? We enjoyed our coffee, on arrival, from the mobile coffee van near the plant fair.
