Great wine experience with just the right touch of irreverence.
Two Amigos Winery的点评
点评：Discovering Two Amigos was one of those rare moments of finding the most wonderful place without really realising it.
I was staying in a local holiday rental with my husband and aunt and uncle over the holidays. My husband and I were visiting from the UK to spend Christmas with them and celebrate my aunt's birthday - she grew up in the area.
It was our last day and I'd promised my husband lots of wine tastings and we'd only managed one so far. I had a look at google maps at what was closest to us and happened upon Two Amigos. I was charmed by their website and that their wines were exclusive and presented 'presented to you with a trace of humor and a bit of irreverence.'
Tours and tastings are by appointment only and I wasn't sure that they'd be able to accommodate us on the day. I tried my luck anyway and my call was answered by the charming Bob who kindly said they could fit us in that day! He told me that in 39 years they had never charged for a tour or tasting.
When we arrived, we discovered an idyllic setting and that Two Amigos is tied to another winery run by the very entertaining and informative Squire. Together, Bob and Squire - both 82!, share their love and knowledge of wine. We learned a lot on the tour from Squire about his philosophy of 'good' and 'great wine' and that you shouldn't open a winery if you want to get rich.
Our tasting with Bob was overlooking the vines and the beautiful valley. We were lucky that it was a warm day for December and that the rain held off for us. It was the most wonderful afternoon and we all walked away with a number of bottles. My wine connoisseur aunt and uncle even became members! I'm looking forward to returning as a plus one to their next pick-up party.
This is an absolute gem of a place with great wine and just the right touch of irreverence.

我们到达后，发现这里环境优美，宛如世外桃源。原来“双友酒庄”（Two Amigos）与另一家由风趣博学的斯奎尔（Squire）经营的酒庄有关联。鲍勃（Bob）和斯奎尔——两人都已82岁高龄——共同分享着他们对葡萄酒的热爱和知识。在参观过程中，我们从斯奎尔那里学到了很多关于“好酒”和“佳酿”的理念，以及他认为如果想发财就不应该开酒庄。
我们和鲍勃一起品酒，酒庄俯瞰着葡萄园和美丽的山谷。我们很幸运，十二月的天气格外温暖，而且没有下雨。那是一个美好的下午，我们每个人都带走了好几瓶酒。我的叔叔婶婶都是葡萄酒鉴赏家，他们甚至也加入了酒庄！我期待着下次参加他们的葡萄酒品鉴会，并作为他们的客人一同前往。
