A visit and day tour to the tiny island of Miquelon

点评：We took a tour with Anais and another couple in her van. She picked us up at the ferry in Miquelon, which takes about 75 minutes to arrive from Saint-Pierre.
Miquelon is actually two islands - Miquelon and Langlade, connected by a sand isthmus known as a tambour. The tour is on Miquelon.
The visit includes a very nice hot lunch at the end of the van tour. A highlight was a visit to the goat farm in Miquelon (goat milk, goat yoghurt and tartine spread available) as well a visit to the goats themselves.
We then had the afternoon to ourselves to walk around the island. It's possible to rent e-Bikes at Chez Adrien, a cafe in the village to get a bit farther afield. You really do feel like Robinson Crusoe when you leave the village!
Anais speaks excellent English and is passionate about Miquelon. She lives on Miquelon and grew up there. She definitely knows the geography and the island.
It would have been great to spend a night on Miquelon, but this is a two-day commitment. The ferry and airline between Saint-Pierre and Miquelon run every other day, so check the schedule for Air Saint Pierre (airline) or the SPM ferry.
