点评:We currently live in Anchorage and flying to Kodiak in the winter promised cheap flights and a quite getaway with little other tourist. Though it was utterly freezing when we were here (very windy), the scenery was sublime. We rented a car through TURO which was brilliant and stayed in a nice AirBNB. As the island is 2/3rds National Park there are only so many places to drive too. We loved exploring the frozen beaches and hiking along the rugged coastlines. Our main surprise and only complaint was that weirdly there were just a few places for coffee and non whatsoever breakfast places! I kid you not! Though Kodiak has just over a population of 5000, surely people want to have breakfast out sometimes?! For that matter, there are only a small hand full places for lunch/dinner. We found this very bizarre - even by Alaskan standards! So we ended up doing almost all our meals at our accomodation. I can't say it was any cheaper as food on the island at the only Safeway was pretty costly too. Not sure what we would have done if you had not had a kitchen. So check your options for food choices when planning. You'll have an amazing time regardless.
