点评：My daughter and I along with 3 grandkids aged 6, 3 and 2 months visited last Saturday. It was so much more than I expected. My granddaughter had asked for a museum outing so we chose this one. We started with the Big Bear Center that housed an incredibly vast number of Native American artifacts along with great information about them. The grandkids were given an animal footprint scavenger hunt to complete while inside the museum and they loved every minute of it. The grounds were easily walkable. The young man in the Blacksmith's shop Sam was engaging and explained a lot of the vintage tools that were still being used. They actually have workshops almost every month you can sign up for to participate in forging.They have a restored stagecoach that was in the original movie Stagecoach with John Wayne and yes you can get inside for pictures. The original Johnson County courthouse built in 1854 which is made from logs is onsite as well. There is also an additional museum with 2 sides- one for Civil War history of the area and one for local Law Enforcement history both of which have great artifacts. We spent 2 hours there and really would love to return. They host a variety of events monthly and throughout the year. I took a picture of this years calendar. They are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I would highly recommend a visit there.
