Our journey with him started by pure luck through a PickMe hailed for a quick cab ride, but we were so impressed by his professionalism and warmth that he ended up being our guide for the rest of our trip. Prasad drove us from Nuwara Eliya to Bentota, and eventually to the airport, but the service he provided went far beyond transportation.
What makes Prasad stand out is his character. He is one of the most humble, honest, and helpful people I have met in years. During our long drives, we had fascinating conversations about everything from Sri Lankan politics and the history of the Tsunami to our shared interests in India. He is incredibly knowledgeable and makes the travel time fly by.
His hospitality is truly unmatched. At one point during our trip, he even coordinated with his wife to bring us authentic Sri Lankan cinnamon and spices as a gift. He flatly refused any extra payment for them, despite our insistence—a gesture that showed his genuine kindness. He also guided us to the best local souvenir shops, ensuring we weren't overcharged and received high-quality items.
I am still in touch with Prasad today and fully intend to remain so. Whether it is my next visit, or a recommendation for friends and family, I wouldn't dream of suggesting anyone else. If you want a reliable, honest, and deeply hospitable person to show you the beauty of Sri Lanka, Prasad Sanjeeva is your man.
