点评:Considering there's very little around the area and if you set your expectations that this will be a cheap, tacky and dated experience then it's just about alright for the kids.
Tickets cost £6 each (no price difference for adult or child).
You get two train rides. The larger train is advertised as a 25 minute ride but actually only about 7 minutes there and 7 minutes back, at crawling speed. In the middle they drop you off at a stop which takes you down a steep walk down steps to view some water flowing under a bridge (nothing spectacular).
The smaller (pixie) train is a miniature ride along train which takes you past a collection of old ornaments and toy villages scattered amongst the trees. This one is probably more fun but again, it only about 15 mins long.
There's a very small soft play area for the kids to use which is looking a bit drab but is ideally placed alongside a cafe so you can stop for a quick cuppa while the kids play.
As for the outside play area across the tracks, this is in need of a major overhaul as it is on its last legs.
The site seems to be run by a retired bunch of folk as either a hobby or as some pocket money. They also have a shed selling charity shop stuff which looks like it hasn't been sold for 40 years (video cassettes and all!)
I wouldn't travel more than about 30 mins out of your way just to come here or if you're passing through anyway it's worth a quick call in.
