Marble Beach – Beautiful, but So Much Wasted Potential

点评：We decided to visit Marble Beach following several recommendations, but I have to say, it wasn’t quite what I expected.
Getting there was an experience in itself. The beach was surprisingly difficult to find, with poor signposting and a drive along a dusty, unpaved road. For somewhere promoted as a visitor destination, the approach could definitely be improved and made much more welcoming.
When we eventually arrived, there was a reception area which appeared to be mainly for booking activities though we didn’t ask. We made our way to one of the bars overlooking the water, but unfortunately, the service was almost non-existent. Considering how hot the day was, we were particularly disappointed to eventually be served warm drinks.
The beach itself, however, is undeniably beautiful. The water is clean and clear, and the natural setting has so much potential. Unfortunately, the whole place just seemed to lack atmosphere and life.
It’s a real shame because with a few improvements, Marble Beach could be a fantastic destination. Better and clearer signposting, improvements to the access road, more food and drink options directly on the beach, perhaps a good barbecue or seafood spot, and more attentive, service-oriented staff would make a huge difference.
In the end, despite travelling specifically to see Marble Beach, we stayed for only around 60 minutes before deciding to return to our hotel.
