Pretty and Private Cruise Port Paradise

点评：We just returned from a New Year's Eve cruise, and had the opportunity to visit this lovely port for a whole day. Celebration Key, the new and highly promoted resort area in the Bahamas managed by Carnival Cruise Lines, is a very worthwhile port stop for those who enjoy sun, sand, surf, and gigantic pools.
The resort is created to offer visitors a variety of experiences, and one can spend no extra money at all, or splurge and spend hundreds, or even thousands in one day.
We liked that the ship docked right at the pier, but we did opt to take the shuttles to the central area, because it can be a long walk.
Sadly, December weather is not truly conducive to swimming in the large unheated pools, or jumping deep in the ocean, but it is wonderful to stroll around the shopping plaza complete with its own parade, or sit and enjoy a restful time in a comfortable lounge chair at either the pool or the beach. There are both child-friendly and adult-only areas available.
Some visitors rented large cabanas, or booked a more active shore excursion, or even ventured out of the resort area to explore, so there are a variety of options to suit everyone.
We did check out the menus of the different "meal included" restaurants, and found the food acceptable, but a bit like a cafeteria-style quality, and somewhat basic in selections.
We would certainly enjoy returning to this port on a future cruise, but would hope for hot (not warm) weather to enjoy all the water amenities.
