Great Singer, Shame About the Soul-Sucking Atmosphere

点评：Came here for a rock bar atmosphere and live music, which on paper should be hard to get wrong. Unfortunately the woman behind the bar seemed to be on a personal mission to remove every last bit of joy from the room.
From the moment we walked in we were treated less like customers and more like a mild inconvenience that had wandered in off the street. I’m not sure if we interrupted something important by ordering drinks, but the level of enthusiasm suggested we probably did.
Which is a real shame, because the live singer, Stuart, was absolutely brilliant. Proper talent, great voice, and exactly what the place needs. Sadly he was performing in an atmosphere that felt like it had been carefully drained of any warmth or welcome.
It’s quite an achievement for a rock bar to feel this lifeless while someone is literally performing live music, but somehow they managed it.
Stuart deserves a packed, lively venue. The bar… maybe just a training course in basic hospitality.
