Sunset from Tuan Chau ferry – one of the most beautiful 15 minutes of my life

点评：I didn’t expect much from a simple ferry crossing, but catching the sunset on the Tuan Chau → Gia Luan route completely blew me away. As the boat quietly glides out of the harbor, the sky suddenly explodes in orange and pink, and the famous Ha Long Bay limestone islands turn into dramatic black silhouettes. The reflection on the calm water is unreal (this photo is straight out of camera, zero edits).
The ride is short, smooth, and costs almost nothing, yet it gave me one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen anywhere in the world. Tip: if you time it right (around 5:30–6:00 pm depending on season), sit on the left side of the ferry when leaving Tuan Chau for the perfect sunset view.
Clean boat, friendly crew, perfect organization. This tiny ferry ride just became the unexpected highlight of my entire northern Vietnam trip. Do NOT miss it!
