点评：I did a private 1:1 mine tour with Pedro from Big Deal Tours, and it was one of the most meaningful experiences I had in Bolivia. I told him up front that I didn’t want anything extreme (no risky ladders or deep squeezes), and he completely respected that and customized the route and pacing to what I was comfortable with.
What made the tour special wasn’t just the mine itself, but the depth of conversation and context. Pedro spent a lot of time talking with me about miners’ lives and working conditions, local politics, and his own story of how he became a guide. It felt personal and unscripted — not a generic tour loop.
He took me in through the entrance he said he had worked in, showed me El Tío with clear explanations of what it means and why it matters, and consistently checked in on my comfort.
