Wonderful, but poorly managed.

点评：We love coming here when staying in the area, a wonderful walk round the lake, taking about 50 minutes when you have dogs that like to sniff, and who are alsi required to be kept on lead. We usually arrive early in the morning, around sunrise, as the light is just stunning, and its usually beautifully quiet. Being early, we miss the parking charges, which are every day from 10am to 6pm. There is a cafe on site but also not open when we're there. Lots of wildlife around to watch, from moor hens to geese and swans. The biggest disappointment for us this year is the very poor quality of the water, with visible and severe algal bloom already present, suggesting very poor management of the water and speaking with someone local this is due to restrictions in use of aerator by local council, short term financial gain which will cause no end of longer terms issues. With the algae like this I'd recommend NOT letting dogs near the water.
