点评：I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Arcot Hall Golf Club for the incredible support, kindness and care they showed us when we held the celebration of my late husband Mark’s life following his funeral.
From the very first time I contacted Arcot Hall Golf Club, I knew I had found the right venue. I was met with such gentleness and understanding, and everyone I came into contact with was kind, professional and genuinely wanted to help make the day as smooth and special as possible.
The bar staff were wonderful and helped me choose the perfect place for the welcome drinks, allowing our guests to raise a glass to Mark. Everything was arranged beautifully, with photographs of Mark displayed around the room — on the welcome drinks table, above the fireplace and at the buffet table. These personal touches made Arcot Hall Golf Club feel incredibly warm and homely.
Will was absolutely amazing in helping me organise the buffet, particularly as exact numbers were difficult to predict. He took the time to go through the choices with me and even organised a simple system for guests to help themselves to tea and coffee. The scones with cream and jam were particularly popular! There was plenty of food, and the whole team coped brilliantly with me having to change the numbers during that final week.
At a time when I was struggling to think clearly and making even simple decisions felt difficult, having people who guided and supported me so patiently meant more than I can put into words.
The team at Arcot Hall Golf Club also helped us set up the equipment so we could play Mark’s favourite songs and display photographs of him on the screen. This was such a lovely touch and made the room feel even more personal, welcoming and reflective of Mark.
I cannot recommend Arcot Hall Golf Club highly enough as a venue to celebrate the life of a loved one. The setting is beautiful, the food was excellent and, most importantly, the care and compassion shown by everyone made an incredibly difficult time just a little easier.
We are not golfers, although we often passed Arcot Hall Golf Club while out walking our dog, but I am so pleased that we chose it for Mark’s celebration. It was the perfect place to bring our family and friends together, share memories and raise a glass to him.
Thank you to everyone at Arcot Hall Golf Club for helping us give Mark the farewell and celebration he deserved. Your kindness will stay with me, and I will always be grateful.
